Agape Love, the type of love God displayed, is displayed on the cross of Jesus Christ for us. It is unconditioned because truly God is love. Although it is amazingly high level and we cannot do anything to deserve it, what we can do is that once we receive and understand His love for us, we reciprocate. We can do something about His love for us. We can connect to the Holy Spirit and grow in this God-kind of love.Yes agape love from God to us is technically un-returnable, simply because it is God-kind of love. But we can give back in certain forms to show that we are grateful for His love for us.
